Ken and Maria are both Certified MBSR Instructors
Maria is a Certified Yoga Teacher (RYT 500)
The MBSR course is an eight
session, scientifically validated, educational program, originally developed by
Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts 30 years
ago and has since become an internationally acclaimed program. Through
mindfulness meditation and specific exercises involving the cultivation of a
closer connection with our bodies and moment to moment non-judgmental
awareness, the MBSR curriculum has been shown to be a powerful adjunct to the
conventional medical treatment of many disorders and to increase one’s overall
sense of well-being.
